TRAVEL
We know that Nantucket isn't the easiest destination to get to, so we greatly appreciate you making the trip to celebrate our special day. We can't wait to see you all in one of our favorite places in September!
Getting to Nantucket
By air or by sea
As a general note, the weather on Nantucket can change quickly and sometimes unpredictably (cue the fog!). We strongly recommend including a bit of a buffer in your travel plans to account for any travel delays.
By Air
There are regular direct flights to Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK) from Boston (BOS), NYC (LGA, JFK, EWR and HPN) and Washington D.C. (DCA). If you are traveling from further away, you can connect through one of these airports. Jet Blue, Delta, United Airlines, American Airlines and Cape Air are the primary airlines that fly to the island.
Once you arrive at Nantucket Memorial Airport, you can grab a taxi or call an Uber/Lyft to bring you to your weekend accommodations.
By Sea
If you plan to get to Nantucket by boat, there are three main ferry operators providing transport to Nantucket. All three ferries arrive at wharfs that are centrally located in town and an easy walk to any in town hotels. Cabs are also always available at the wharfs if you need help with heavy luggage.
We recommend booking ferry reservations in advance to guarantee your spot. Ferry schedules change seasonally, so please check each company’s website for the most up to date information on ferry schedules and parking information.

Getting Around the Island
By Car
Nantucket has cabs and Ubers/Lyfts readily available, and transportation will be provided to & from wedding day events for those not staying at the Wauwinet. While you do not need a car, if you would like one to explore the island in more depth there are several rental companies to choose from:
By Bike
We highly recommend exploring Nantucket by bike. The island has scenic, paved bike paths to take you to popular areas like Madaket, Sconset and Cisco Brewery. One of our favorite ways to spend Nantucket mornings is biking to Sconset (don’t forget to reward yourself with a blueberry muffin from Sconset market at the end of your ride)!
The companies below allow you to book by the day or hour and are located downtown for pick-up and drop-off, as well as delivery to your hotel/rental home.
Pro tip: Check with your hotel to see if they offer free bike rentals!
